Premio in onore di Francesca GherardiIl “memorial prize Francesca Gherardi” consiste in un premio internazionale di 5000,00€ offerti annualmente dalla Famiglia Gherardi ad un giovane ricercatore per ricerche sul comportamento o le invasioni dei crostacei.

The 2020 prize of 5000.00€ will be awarded for research in “Behaviour or Invasion biology of Crustaceans“.
Applications are open to researchers under 40 years, of all nationalities, lacking permanent academic position.
The closing date for submissions is 30 November 2019.

The applicant is invited to send his/her CV [in English] with the list of publications, copies of three selected articles published in peer-reviewed journals, a letter attesting that he/she holds no regular research or teaching position, and a copy of his/her identity card.
The winner will receive the award at the Department of Biology, University of Florence, on the event honouring the legacy of Prof. Francesca Gherardi, in May 2020. The awardee will present his/her research on that occasion.
The Award Committee is headed by Prof Felicita Scapini, assisted by members of the Department of Biology, University of Florence.
