Our 3rd TA call is currently open for applications. The closing date is 11 March. Via the EU-funded eLTER H2020 project, we can offer successful applicants funded access to nine European long-term ecosystem research sites.
The eLTER TA Call encourages a bottom-up design of research activities to be conducted at one or more of the sites involved in the project. The recommended framework for research themes is ecosystem/biodiversity responses to abiotic drivers, placing emphasis on climate change and nitrogen deposition, thereby considering climate (meteorological) data, soil parameters, soil solution/runoff chemistry, nutrient cycling variables, and information on ground vegetation. However, proposals covering other themes are also encouraged. Furthermore, proposals considering socio-economic research themes are welcomed, since several sites are included in the eLTER TA Scheme that are suitable for socio-ecological research.
The sites that are open in the 3rd call are:
- 01 – Zöbelboden, Austria
- 02 – (a) Plaine et Val de Sèvre and (b) Alps, France
- 03 – Siptenfelde, Germany
- 04 – Koiliaris, Greece (Crete)
- 05 – Lago (Lake) Maggiore, Italy
- 09 – Braschaat – De Inslag, Belgium
- 12 – Kiskun, Hungary
- 14 – Engure, Latvia
- 17 – Postojna Planina Cave System, Slovenia
